Choosing The Best Campsite For Your RV Or Tent |
One of my favorite parks is Shades State Park!
The folks at rvsandtents.com have camped at Shades several times over the years. The scenery is some of the best in the state of Indiana. In most cases, we have limited our camping at Shades to tent camping with large groups of friends. We don’t use the RV for camping unless it is later in the camping season (Fall months).
All RV sites are non-electric. If you seek the comfort of an air-conditioned RV during the warm and humid months of summer, you will have to run your generator during the allowed hours between 7 a.m. until 11 p.m. local time. Neighboring RV owners may be using their generators for the same or other reasons, and that could result in both a noisy environment and lingering exhaust fumes in the air. On the other hand, this state park may be perfect for RV campers during the cooler months of Fall. The windows can be open for fresh air and a cooler night for sleeping.
I’m following up on a promise. Andrew stopped by the house today and delivered a package and commented on the RV in my driveway and said I should check out your page and leave a comment. I’ve bookmarked the page and look forward to exploring it.
Cheers!
Thank you for leaving a comment. We do hope you thoroughly check out rvsandtents.com. It has been 6 years in the making and we still have a long way to go.
Currently, we are working with “Responsive web design”. That, if it works, will enable our website to appear properly across all kinds of devices, such as desktop computers, laptops, Androids, iPhones, etc. We are working alphabetically on the updates, so if the “Responsive web design” works, we have completed our updates on all cities and towns through A to E. Those pages look good on our Android phones, so we will continue on with our work.
Thanks again for the comment!

Hello,
We are planning a camping trip that will be coinciding with the Indiana Bacon Festival. Can you recommend or do you have any suggestions as to where we can park for the weekend? Please and thank you.
We are guessing that the 2024 Indiana Bacon Festival will experience a record-breaking crowd due to the headlining appearance of Lou Gramm, the lead singer on all of the great Foreigner band hits.
The festival starts at 3 p.m. and we suggest you arrive in the town of Delphi by Noon or shortly after on 08/24/2024. Traffic in and out of Delphi will be extremely heavy on the day of the festival.
We understand free parking will be available at the Delphi Community High/Middle School parking lots with free shuttle service to the main gate!
There are suggested items to bring to the festival and suggested items not to bring. A complete list of details can be found at the following website:
Indiana Bacon Festival
We hope you have a great time at the Indiana Bacon Festival and stay safe!
