Greene-Sullivan State Forest consists of two distinct and separate areas near the town of Dugger and the city of Sullivan.
One area, named the Dugger Unit, is approximately 2,150 acres in size and is located west of Dugger, southeast of Sullivan and just south of St. Rd. 54. Dugger Unit encompasses 10 lakes and many smaller ponds. There is no camping permitted in the Dugger Unit, but plenty of excellent fishing and boating activities, such as canoeing and kayaking, are in abundance. Boat motors are limited to electric trolling motors only. There are over 10 boat access ramps available.
The second, and larger, area of the Greene-Sullivan State Forest is located just south of the town of Dugger. In this area, closer to Dugger, you will find 5 camping sites with Electric, 18 sites with cabins, and 1 Picnic Shelter accommodating up to 30 people.
There are up to 100 camping sites, classified as primitive, in 3 areas of this forest. Some are located near the cabin sites mentioned above, some are located near Wampler Lake and others are located near Reservoir #26.
