Borden is located about 94 miles south of downtown Indianapolis, Indiana and about 10 miles northwest of Sellersburg, Indiana. The population of Borden in 2024 is approximately 819 people. The area surrounding Borden is known for its rolling hills and forested areas, as well as the agricultural features with a variety of farms in some locales.
Borden is fortunate to have the Deam Lake State Recreation Area (SRA) just 6 miles to the east of the town’s boundaries. This SRA is a favorite for RV camping, tent campers, those that camp with horses and others that prefer to stay in cabins. Deam Lake offers so many different activities, such as canoeing, fishing, swimming, mountain biking, bridal trails and much more.
