Rockville is located about 57 miles west of downtown Indianapolis, and about 16 miles north of Brazil. The population of Rockville in 2010 was 2, 607 people.

 

The town of Rockville is located in Parke County, an Indiana county known as the “Covered Bridge Capital of the World.” Each year during the Fall season, a 10-day event known as the Parke County Covered Bridge Festival attracts 1000’s of visitors from all over.

Many of the structures and buildings located in the Rockville Historic District are also listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
