Plymouth is located about 107 miles north of downtown Indianapolis, and about 23 miles south of South Bend. The population of Plymouth in 2010 was 10,033 people.

Plymouth is named after the city of Plymouth, Massachusetts, the site where the Mayflower landed in 1620.
