Palmyra is located about 94 miles south of downtown Indianapolis, and about 12 miles north of Corydon. The population of Palmyra in 2010 was 930 people.

This small town had a brief encounter with Confederate Army forces on the evening of July 8, 1863. The soldiers left the next morning after taking all the town’s horses. More information about Palmyra can be found at Wikipedia by CLICKING HERE.
