Indianapolis is located in the center of the state. It is the capital city of Indiana. The city is surrounded by U.S. Interstate 465 and has 4 interstate highways connected to I-465. These are I-65, I-69, I-70 and I-74. The population of Indianapolis was over 855,000 people in 2016. The population of the Indianapolis metropolitan area exceeds 2 million people.
The city has 2 large reservoirs nearby to meet it’s need for water. And both provide plenty of water recreation activities.
