Nashville is located about 39 miles southeast of downtown Indianapolis, and about 14 miles east of Bloomington. The population of Nashville in 2010 was 803 people.


Nashville is surrounded by rolling hills and fortunate to have a wonderful and popular nearby park,
Brown County State Park. In addition, there are numerous other public campgrounds throughout the area.

Campers from surrounding states often frequent the state park, as well as the other campgrounds and various recreational areas within and outside of Nashville.

Situated on nearly 16,000 acres, Brown County State Park is the largest state park in Indiana. This park offers over 400 campsites with electrical hook-ups, as well as numerous sites for tent camping. Throughout the warmer months in Indiana, the park is loaded with RV and tent campers, so we recommend reservations be made by phone or on the park website.
